We have complete range of Leather Chemicals starting from the cured hides arriving at the beamhouse. Our chemical range consists of leather chemicals for beam-house, tanning, retanning, fatliquoring, water-proofing, wet-end dyeing and Finishing, to enable tanners to produce high quality leather.
Leather Production Process
Soaking, Liming, and De-liming
At the beamhouse, the Raw hides & Skins are soaked to re-absorb water lost during flaying, curing and transportation. During soaking, hides are cleaned well to remove salt, blood, and dirt, if any. Then, hairs, epidermis and inter-fibrillar proteins are removed during liming process. During the deliming stage the Hides & Skins are cleaned to remove the chemicals used at the time of liming.
Bating, Degreasing, Pickling.
During bating process, the hides/skins are treated with enzymes, to soften them so as to maintaining their firmness and flexibility. Scud and undesired proteins are also removed. Fats & Greases are removed to enhance the penetration of all chemicals. After that Hides & Skins are treated with pickling processwith acids to prepare the leather for tanning process.
Tanning
After pickle, there are different types of process for tanning the leather like as Chrome Tanning / Chrome free tanning / Alde-hyde Tanning / Vegeteble Tanning. Different types of tanning used as per the different requirements & norms.
After tanning process, we can preserve the tanned leather for the longer time (for months ) by using fungicide during the tanning process.
Tanned leather passed through the mechanical process of shaving for even thickness at every portion of leather. This even thickness of leather will help improve the quality of leather.
After the shaving process, leather is ready for the further treatment.
Retanning, Dyeing, Fat liquoring
All these process make the final feel / look of the leather. All the parameter of leather like softness / roundness / feel / colour depend on these process.
Syntan used in retanning to make the leather fuller. Different wet end dyes used to make the desired colour. Fat liquor gives the softness to leather. To make the waterproof leather only special waterproof fatliquor to be used.
After completion of wet end process, leather can store for the years.
Leather finishing process
After completion of wet-end process, leather further processed for the final feel / look / colour.
Different kind of finishes are done on leather to get the different desired results like Aniline Leather / Corrected Grain Leather / Pull Up Leather / Patent Leather / Crunch Effect Leather / Resin finished Leather.
